Paysera Bank is the only financial institution in Georgia that can offer a European bank account to its customers along with a Georgian one, Dimitri Kumsishvili, the General Director of Paysera Bank Georgia told PalitraNews TV.
As Dimitri Kumsishvili explained, Paysera Bank was practically able to integrate the country into the Single Euro Payments Area thanks to this opportunity. This means that today any Georgian company or citizen of Georgia can open a European account in Paysera Bank and receive all the benefits that s/he would have when opening an account in the European Union - including instant transfers of euros.
"Exactly one year ago, two important things happened: one - for us personally, and the other for the country - the country applied to become a member of SEPA, the Single Euro Payments Area, and at that time we got our license. In June, we started operating and practically offered Georgian customers, both individuals and legal entities, the opportunity to use SEPA and SEPA Instant. I am sure that after some time, Georgia will fully join SEPA, although today this service is already available to everyone through Paysera Bank. There is no difference between an international transfer and a GEL transfer in our system. It is as convenient and as easy to transfer euro today through our system as it is for GEL. No indication of an intermediary bank is required, which eliminates the possibility of making a mistake and allows your counterparty to receive the money very quickly," said Dimitri Kumsishvili.
