NATO has agreed to Kiev's request to hold an emergency meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council in response to Russia's recent large-scale strikes against Ukraine, Kyiv Independent reports, citing the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba.
According to Kuleba, one of the main topics of the extraordinary meeting of the Council will be the strengthening of air defense of Ukraine.
According to the head of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine, NATO's agreement to hold the meeting "is an important sign of Euro-Atlantic unity against the background of the escalation of Russian terror."
The minister does not specify when and where the meeting will be held.
As a reminder, the Ukrainian authorities say that Russia has attacked Ukraine with at least 500 missiles and drones in the last 5 days, as a result of which dozens of civilians were killed and injured.
