Irakli Kobakhidze confirms that MP Irakli Chikovani will be nominated for the position of Defense Minister.
As Prime Minister candidate Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists, he offered all members of the government to stay, but Defense Minister Juansher Burchuladze wants to move to another field."I would like to emphasize that I have offered all members of the government to stay. The only position of Defense Minister Juansher Burchuladze was that he wanted to move from politics to another field. I respect his decision, therefore, the only change will be made in the Government of Georgia and the candidacy of Irakli Chikovani will be presented for the position of Minister of Defense", said Irakli Kobakhidze.
