According to the Freedom House report, Georgia is a partially free country. In the report of the organization - Freedom in the World 2024, Georgia was awarded 58 out of 100 points, 22 out of 40 points in terms of political rights, and 36 out of 60 points in terms of civil liberties.
Freedom House writes that oligarchic influence impacts Georgia's political affairs, political decisions and media environment, the rule of law is undermined by politicization, and civil liberties are inconsistently protected.
