Irakli Kobakhidze: Davit Khidasheli did not have access to any confidential one

The Ministry of Defense released information regarding Davit Khidasheli. In the text released by the Ministry of Defense, it was very clearly written that Davit Khidasheli did not have access to any information, especially confidential one, - Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists.

According to the Prime Minister, there was a certain working relationship with Khidasheli, which was terminated in February.

"As far as I know, the Ministry of Defense has released information in this regard. The text released by the Ministry clearly stated that Davit Khidasheli did not have access to any information, especially confidential information. As for our decision, we are responsible for our own decisions. Finally, we had a discussion on this topic. There was a certain employment relationship that ended in February. This is what happened. Ot was said that this person was close to Yevtushenkov, who is a person close to the Biden family. I don't think there is any reason to speculate here. Evtushenkov is directly close to the Biden family," Kobakhidze said.

When asked if there was a problem with connections with Evtushenkov, Kobakhidze answered that speculations on this topic were unnecessary.

"The US has not sanctioned him because of his close ties to the American political elite, including the Biden family. Accordingly, I think that speculations are unnecessary here," said Kobakhidze.

For information, the Main Channel reported that Davit Khidasheli worked as an advisor to the Minister of Defense for many years. The mentioned information was confirmed by the former minister, Juansher Burchuladze, on the same television. According to the agency, after the termination of the authority of the Minister of Defense, in accordance with the legislation, according to Article 81, Clause 2, of the Law of Georgia on Civil Service, Davit Khidasheli's administrative contract was terminated and since then he has no longer worked in the Defense Agency.
