Today, Georgian justice and judicial system is independent from any foreign interference. I want to emphatically say that today we have a proud Georgian court, - Irakli Gharibashvili, chairman of "Georgian Dream", told journalists.

According to him, "Georgian Dream" will not allow anyone to interfere in Georgian justice and the Georgian judicial system.

"Today, Georgian justice and the judicial system are independent from any foreign interference. I want to emphasize that today we have a proud Georgian court. I am not saying this by chance - the Georgian court. This is a Georgian institution, an institution that works properly, the absolute majority of which are patriotic citizens of Georgia. Of course, one of the leaders of this team, our government will not allow anyone to interfere in Georgian justice and the Georgian court system. This is unacceptable", said Gharibashvili.

As he noted, according to the ratings of international organizations, "our country is in the first place not only in the region, but also in European countries, in Eastern European countries, in terms of the rule of law and a well-functioning system of justice in general."

"What is it all about? In general, we have a claim and ambition, friends, to be and are an independent, sovereign state. Our main task should be to unite our country. At this time we are told that you must invite foreign nationals, now imagine. First, who asked and who checked their integrity, first their integrity. We do not have any self-respect for an independent nation, a nation with such a long history, that we do not invite citizens of foreign countries from outside and they do not check the integrity of our judges (so to call it)? What experience are you talking about? All judges have more than enough experience, 20 and 30 years. They did not come yesterday and the day before yesterday. I will remind everyone, including these critics, that when we came to power in 2012, their first recommendation was not a direct instruction, but an order not to touch the court. Then the judges chose these people themselves, we absolutely did not interfere in the judicial system. To date, 300 judges decide the fate of their own system. They manage the system themselves and we have no interference. Therefore, they should be kind and respect the independence of the Georgian court. It is generally a great absurdity to talk about it, that we have to do this to me as a citizen of this country, it is insulting to the integrity of our Georgian courts and judges to be checked by foreign citizens.

Do you remember how many examples there are, they did the same, if I'm not mistaken, in Ukraine and elsewhere, who was involved? - Adeishvili and others. How can people like Adeishvili, the architects of the evil system, check the integrity of our judges today. This is absolutely inadmissible and unacceptable", said Gharibashvili.
