Shalva Papuashvili: Salome Zurabishvili's attitude regarding the selection commission for the members of the NBG Board showed how she sees the independence, role and importance of NBG for the state

Mrs. Salome had a representative in the selection commission of the CEC, which did not take part in the commission's deliberations, which shows, in general, Mrs. Salome's destructive attitude towards the procedures, said Shalva Papuashvili, the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia.

As he mentioned, the non-participation of Salome Zurabishvili's representatives in the selection commission of the CEC clearly showed what a destructive attitude Zurabishvili has towards the procedures in general.

"As for Salome Zurabishvili's attitude regarding the selection commission for the members of the National Bank Board, it was also shown in that case too how she sees the independence, role and importance of the National Bank for the state, and therefore I think this decision is within this framework. Of course, when several members of the National Bank left the Board, at that moment and in the way it happened - it was certainly not a state move, and in this regard, their participation in the commission raises some questions," he said.
