Students expressing protest at Tbilisi State University, as PM is expected to arrive to give a lecture

In front of the 2nd building of Tbilisi State University, students are waiting for Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, who is to deliver a lecture at the university today.

Students are protesting the law "On transparency of foreign influence" adopted by the Parliament of Georgia.

Salome Zurabishvili's brother, Otar Zurabishvili, also arrived to support the students and condemned the physical abuse of students.

"Physical abuse of students is unacceptable to me. Today, they represent freedom, free thinking. This is exciting, I came here today symbolically", said Otar Zurabishvili.

Several patrol police crews are mobilized on the spot.

The entrances to the university are guarded by the patrol police and the university security service.
