The members of the Parliament of Georgia, who adopted the "Russian law" and which they themselves called the law of transparency, do not fulfill their obligations to the state, their declarations are not transparent, Vaso Urushadze, secretary of the anti-corruption department of "Unity - National Movement", told ifact.ge
According to Urushadze, the decision-makers are buried in the corruption swamp.
"Their family members are not transparent about what private business activities they are engaged in. They participate in the disposal of a large amount of state property, receive millions of GEL from the state budget through direct contracts, and then spend it irrationally. In most cases, the conditions they have entered into with the state have been violated. A large amount of state budget funds is used in a corrupt way. There is no healthy competitive environment, which in itself damages the state budget and the interests of the state. The main obligation of a state official member of parliament, government representative is to make their income transparent. If anyone has the obligation of transparency, it is the deputies themselves who are in the Parliament of Georgia and are engaged in corrupt activities, embezzlement of the state budget, irrational use of state resources and represent Ivanishvili's corruption pyramid. All those people who are involved in the management of the state, in making decisions, are buried in the corruption swamp. This is Ivanishvili's main pillar, the main tool for the management and loyalty of state officials, because they are compromised, involved in corruption, which is a lever for Ivanishvili to obediently manage state officials, members of parliament. They do not have the ability to make a decision", said Vaso Urushadze.
The press service of the party disseminates the information.
