The international project “Finding a Common Language” will commence in Tbilisi, Georgia, from October 16 to 22, 2024. Organized by the German High Art Bureau and supported bythe German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this initiative aims tounite young people from Georgia, Ukraine, Armenia, Nagorno-Karabakh, and Russia through the power of musicand dance. The project focuses on promoting inclusion, mutual understanding, and cooperation among youth fromdifferent cultural, linguistic, and national backgrounds.
Over the course of 10 days, 30 young participants will takepart in intensive music and dance workshops, guided by an international team of choreographers and musicians. These workshops will encourage participants to express themselvesand develop a "common language" through artistic movementand sound, breaking down barriers created by culturaldifferences, language, and social challenges.
The Tbilisi workshops will culminate in a final publicperformance on October 25-26, 2024, at the NCA Small Theatre in Yerevan, Armenia, where the participants will present their collaborative work, symbolizing unity and inclusion.

Georgian youth will play a key role in this international collaboration, with Georgian saxophonist and composerDimitri Lekveishvili leading the music workshops. Dimitri, known for his versatile musical skills, has worked on numerous cross-cultural projects and will guide theparticipants in creating their own unique artistic expression.
The project is dedicated to fostering a spirit of unity in today’sdivided world and will address important social themes such as war trauma, disability, and the importance of culturalexchange. The process will be documented, providingvaluable insights for future projects focused on inclusion and dialogue.
