From 2022, the Ministry of Justice is implementing the reform of systematic land registration, which is being implemented in 59 municipalities across the country.

According to the Ministry of Justice, within the framework of the reform, the state registers free of charge the land plots owned or occupied by the citizens, as well as those arbitrarily seized.

According to the information, more than 1,500,000 plots of land have been measured since the beginning of the project, and ownership rights have been registered for more than 1,000,000 plots of land. Up to 1000 people were trained and employed.

"The current results of the current reform were summarized at the event held at the Saakadze training base of the Justice Training Center. Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze and Minister of Justice, Rati Bregadze addressed the participants. The presentation was made by the chairman of the National Public Registry Agency, Davit Devidze.

Since the beginning of the project, more than 1,500,000 plots of land have been measured, and ownership rights have been registered for more than 1,000,000 plots of land. Up to 1000 people were trained and employed.

Taking into account the successful results and with the aim of not leaving any unregistered plots in the state, the system registration reform will continue until the end of 2025.

After its completion, a single, complete cadastral database will be created and finally private, state or municipal property will be identified.

At the end of the event, the Minister of Justice showed the guests the necessary equipment and inventory for the implementation of the reform, as well as - the newly opened training center - the Saakadze training base.

"The presentation of the results of the systematic land registration reform was attended by members of the executive and legislative authorities, deputy ministers of justice, state trustees, representatives of the Ministry of Justice, the National Public Registry Agency, agencies and self-governments participating in the reform," the information states.
