Those who are in Gakharia's party were all officials and all resigned from their positions, there is no talk of entering the parliament, it would be political suicide, - Zviad Dzidziguri, one of the leaders of the "Gakharia for Georgia" party, said in the "Resume" program of PalitraNews.
Zviad Dzidziguri spoke about the recent developments in the country and said that there is a long process of struggle ahead, which will not end in the coming weeks.
"There are very long procedures and processes ahead. If anyone thinks that in a week or two, some kind of objections related to election falsification will end, they are very wrong. This is a long process. We do not know what we will plan in this process, what the scenarios will be, how it will develop.
One thing I like about the new party I'm in now, on every detail, on every seemingly secondary political matter, is the very long discussion and discussion, with a hand on the wrist all the time. We are considering different scenarios and I don't want to talk about it publicly. What we declare publicly is that we will not give legitimacy to this parliament. This is what Giorgi Gakharia, who was the Prime Minister and resigned from this position of his own accord, says, I, who was the vice-speaker of the Parliament and resigned from my position, am telling you this. All those who are in Gakharia's party were officials and all left their positions, and there is no talk of entering the parliament, it would be political suicide.
There are many areas to resist, including from the legal point of view, including from the international point of view, there are many more topics that our party is working on. There is still mobilization in the regions to use this resource in the future when it is needed. We are not the organizers and we do not take a leading role in the street actions, although we participate there too, just with our opinion and our plans, we do not join other parties", said Zviad Dzidziguri.
According to Dzidziguri, Bidzina Ivanishvili defeated the previous government with a coalition and after that banned political coalitions.
As he explained, Ivanishvili named the plan to strengthen the parties as the reason for this, however, now the honorary chairman of "Georgian Dream" wants to abolish these parties himself.
"I will say about the street actions that all those people who take part in this protest are highly appreciated. That a hundred thousand people stood in the street every day, there was never such a rally, but when there were key moments, people always gathered at those key moments. During the Rose Revolution, a key moment was when the parliament met and someone thinks that Mikheil Saakashvili rushed there by force. No, the door was opened by the security service itself and a group of protesters entered the meeting hall.
I will tell those people who are disappointed that everything can be achieved through struggle, nothing will come out of disappointment. We have no right to disappoint those who wish that these rigged elections will not save the current government. It will be a continuous struggle, it is not a one-week or two-week process, and I don't know how long it will last, but it depends on many factors - how our Western colleagues will be involved in the investigation of these elections, what position will be taken by the new administration of the United States of America, what will be the international investigation mechanisms, the Strasbourg court, which will accept the case in production, means that there will be some kind of pressure on the authorities, and this is also a lever. All levers can be used, there are many forms of protest and a very detailed discussion of these forms takes place in the party where I am and had to be. I was the chairman of the conservative party for twenty years and now I am no longer a member of the party, such legislation was proposed by Bidzina Ivanishvili. He himself successfully participated in the coalition against Mikheil Saakashvili, then he changed the legislation in such a way that he banned the coalition. We want to strengthen the parties and for this reason it was banned and now I have to ban the parties altogether. In other words, parties should not be strengthened, they should be abolished altogether, and the only party should be, as it was written in the Constitution of the Soviet Union, that the party operating in the Soviet Union is the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. Let him write this also in the constitution and rest," said Zviad Dzidziguri.
