President joins Chain of Unity

The President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, has joined the Chain of Unity.

She recently arrived at Saarbrücken Square, where citizens formed the Chain of Unity to defend Georgia’s European choice.

The citizens gathered on the street greeted Salome Zurabishvili with applause. They were chanting: “Thank you, Salome Zurabishvili”.

Georgian citizens have tied the Chain of Unity across the country, expressing their support for the country’s European choice.

Participants in the Chain of Unity are carrying the flags of Georgia and the European Union.

For information, the citizens' protest followed the November 28 statement of Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, according to which a decision was made not to put the issue of opening negotiations with the European Union on the agenda until the end of 2028. The main demands of the protest participants remain unchanged - to schedule new elections and release those detained during the protests.
