Representatives of the Russian occupation forces illegally detained three Georgian citizens near the village of Plavismani, Gori municipality, the State Security Service of Georgia reports.
In addition, according to the agency, one of them was released on March 11 and is in the territory controlled by the central government, while two remain in illegal detention.
“Upon receiving information about the incident, the State Security Service activated the hotline with the involvement of the European Union Monitoring Mission.
The information was immediately reported to the co-chairs of the Geneva International Discussions and international partners.
All existing mechanisms have been activated to release the illegally detained Georgian citizens as soon as possible.
The occupying force bears responsibility for all destructive actions committed in the occupied territories of Georgia, as well as along the occupation line,” reads the information.
