Irakli Kobakhidze to chair Georgian Dream party

Irakli Kobakhidze will chair the Georgian Dream party. The ruling party's congress unanimously elected Irakli Kobakhidze as the party's chairman.

Kobakhidze has taken up the post of party chairman for the second time.

The 9th congress of the Georgian Dream party began with the election of a chairman. The renewed composition of the Georgian Dream political council was also presented at the congress.

The position of the chairman of the Georgian Dream party became vacant after Irakli Gharibashvili decided to leave the party and politics. Gharibashvili made the relevant statement on April 25.
