The company states that the issue has been resolved and the train service on the Kutaisi–Batumi route has been restored.
“On May 20, the train operating on the Kutaisi–Batumi route stopped at Lanchkhuti station due to a technical problem, specifically a minor fault in the contact network. The issue was resolved promptly, and the train service has been restored. Other trains are operating without disruption.
We would also like to clarify that the media reports claiming the train caught fire are not accurate,” the statement said.
