Refusing their parliamentary mandates is not only an expression of their attitude toward their own voters, but also a clear demonstration of the plans held by representatives of the radical opposition, who have now completely turned into extremists – the plan is revolution, nothing else, – said the First Vice Speaker of Parliament, Gia Volski, in a comment to journalists, responding to the statement made by the OSCE Secretary General.
Volski once again emphasized that the 2024 parliamentary elections were not rigged and that it is impossible to falsify electronic elections.
“Representatives of the radical opposition do not accept it when we say that it is impossible to rig the elections, and they have failed to produce any documents to prove that anything was falsified — except for claims of pressure on individuals, that something leaked here and there, and so on. This raises very serious questions. Isn’t the main goal to initiate some kind of revolutionary process and see bloodshed in the country?
Otherwise, refusing their mandates is not just about their attitude toward their own voters — it is a clear demonstration of what plans and hopes these radical opposition figures had, who have now completely turned into extremists. That was the idea: to somehow trigger a process in the country that would lead to irreversible destruction. That was the idea — and, of course, this idea is significantly undermined by what the Swiss parliamentarian said, and especially by the OSCE Secretary General.
This topic must be repeated once, ten times, even a hundred times — it is impossible to rig electronic elections. The elections were not falsified. And the plan is revolution. Nothing else,” Volski stated.
For context, the OSCE Secretary General, Feridun Sinirlioğlu, stated at the OSCE annual session in Portugal that “for the Georgian opposition to hold more than 40% of seats in parliament and not make use of them is unfair to the people who elected them.”
