Irakli Kobakhidze, Shalva Papuashvili and Mikheil Kavelashvili arrive at Sioni Cathedral to attend service to commemorate the 40th day since the death of Ilia II

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, arrived at the Sioni Patriarchal Cathedral, where a service will be held to commemorate the 40th day from the death of Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Ilia II.

The Prime Minister is accompanied by: Chairman of the Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili; Mikheil Kavelashvili; members of the Cabinet of Ministers and MPs.

The service at the Sioni Patriarchal Cathedral began at 10:00.

After the service, a funeral service will be held in memory of His Holiness and Beatitude, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Archbishop of Mtskheta-Tbilisi, Bichvinta and Metropolitan of Tskhum-Abkhazia, Ilia II.

Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II, passed away on March 17. Ilia II was buried on March 22 at the Sioni Patriarchal Cathedral.
