Shalva Papuashvili - Zelensky had to go to the person he had sanctioned and deliver a message, it should be a good lesson for everyone that unjust decisions and actions harm them - they probably want to present a reconsidered position

It was the Ukrainian government that, through its reckless decisions, brought the situation to the point where President Zelensky had to go to the person he had sanctioned and deliver a message, - said the Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Shalva Papuashvili, responding to the meeting between Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

According to Shalva Papuashvili, Georgia is ready to listen to Ukraine's reconsidered position and act accordingly.

"We did not spoil this relationship. The fact is that it was the Ukrainian government that, with its reckless decisions, brought the situation to the point that President Zelensky had to go to a person he had himself sanctioned and say something. I think this is a good lesson for everyone who is trying to blackmail Georgia with sanctions today. It should be a good lesson for everyone that unjust decisions and actions harm them, they cannot harm the Georgian people, and ultimately everyone will have to face reality.

As for the Ukrainian government, we hope that this is a process of rethinking. Let's see, this meeting was not our initiative, the President of Ukraine himself showed the initiative. Perhaps they want to present some thoughtful position. Georgia is ready to hear all this and, of course, we will act based on this," said Shalva Papuashvili.
