Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, President Mikheil Kavelashvili, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, and Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze laid a wreath at the Meliton Kantaria Monument in the Veterans’ Culture and Recreation (Kikvidze) Park in Tbilisi.

They were joined by members of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Veterans and other citizens are gathering in Kikvidze Park to mark the day.

Today, May 9, marks the 81st anniversary of the victory over fascism in World War II.
