It is very sad that the former Prime Minister has descended to the level of a blogger from a specific “dark” newspaper, this is a very sad and tragic event, - this is how Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze responded to the last letter of former Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili, where he asks questions regarding the death of Lazare Jorbenadze.
According to Irakli Kobakhidze, the letters of his predecessor are frivolous.
“The only comment I can make about these letters is that they are simply ridiculous and tragic. I will not go into more depth. Based on simple, ethical considerations, this person held this position before me - the position of Prime Minister. This prevents me from making any deep comments about these letters. Secondly, the content of these letters is so frivolous that it does not even give me the opportunity to make any serious comments,” Kobakhidze said.
When asked who is behind the “false campaign,” the Prime Minister replies that it is “not hidden.”
“The fact is that whoever spreads such information, such falsehood, is behind it, it is not hidden, it is easily revealed, there are forces that do not have a good reputation anyway. It is very sad that the former Prime Minister has descended to the level of a blogger from a specific “dark” newspaper, this is a very sad and tragic event,” Kobakhidze states.
For information, former Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Gharibashvili, published another letter from prison, in which he asks the question, “What was the real reason for the death of human rights defender Lazare Jorbenadze?” and says that in society “to this day there remain unanswered questions regarding the fact of the suicide of a number of people that took place during the Kobakhidze-Mdinaradze administration.”
