Lawyer Natia Tamazashvili has entered Rustavi Penitentiary No. 12 to visit former Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili.

As the lawyer noted before entering the penitentiary, if Irakli Gharibashvili feels like saying something, he will say it himself.

“I am going to Irakli now and if he feels like saying something and revealing something to the public, he will definitely say it himself,” the lawyer noted.

For information, former Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Gharibashvili, sent several letters from Rustavi prison in recent weeks, in which he openly confronts the current Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze, as well as one of the leaders of the Georgian Dream, Mamuka Mdinaradze. In particular, Gharibashvili speaks about his persecution by Kobakhidze-Mdinaradze and claims that the ongoing legal proceedings against him are groundless.

In addition, in another letter sent from prison a few days ago, Gharibashvili also spoke about the death of human rights defender Lazare Jorbenadze and asked the question: “What was the real reason for the death of human rights defender Lazare Jorbenadze?” “There are still unanswered questions in society regarding the suicides of numerous people that took place during Kobakhidze-Mdinaradze’s rule,” Irakli Gharibashvili writes in the letter.
