Let him [Grigol Liluashvili] say whatever he wants; that is the right of any prisoner—democracy and freedom of speech are guaranteed in Georgia. Our government operates so cleanly that such talk and speculation never yield any results, - this is how Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze responded to a journalist's question about whether he expects former State Security Service chief Grigol Liluashvili to "start talking."

Kobakhidze noted that every prisoner has the right to speak, which is part of democracy.

"If you are interested in any specific thing, you can simply wait and see. There have been numerous instances where specific officials ended up in prison facing various charges—primarily corruption-related—which is a very unfortunate development. They attempted to make allegations, yet our government operates with such integrity that these claims never yielded any results. Our activities and procedures are so clean that no one has been able to find fault with the government. I am referring here to individuals such as Irakli Gharibashvili—and others; you may recall a past instance involving a representative of the State Security Service who began making allegations, but because our government operates so cleanly, such talk and speculation never lead to anything," stated Irakli Kobakhidze.
