Shalva Papuashvili: The rally showed that even the 5% IRI gave the United National Movement is an overestimate - the fact that only a few dozen people attended shows that the public is looking at everything rationally

“The fact that only a few dozen people attended the rally, and no more, ultimately also shows that the Georgian people are looking at everything rationally,” Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili said, commenting on the protest rally held by the United National Movement yesterday in Rike Park.
According to Papuashvili, yesterday’s events showed which side the Georgian people are on.
“I think this rally showed that even the 5% that IRI gave the United National Movement is an overestimate. We saw what we are dealing with. Once again, society saw the accuracy of the proportional distribution reflected in IRI’s survey results.
“The Georgian people once again showed which side they stand on. The Georgian people stand on the side of Georgia, its interests and its government, rather than on the side of a foreign citizen and prisoner who wanted unrest, bloodshed and to seize power in Georgia.
“We know for certain that foreign intelligence services smuggled Mikheil Saakashvili into Georgia. When you dedicate a rally to a person who was smuggled into Georgia by foreign intelligence services, first of all, I would ask those who attended what they were thinking by going to a rally about a person brought into the country by foreign intelligence services. But the fact that only a few dozen people attended, and no more, ultimately shows that the Georgian people are looking at everything rationally,” Papuashvili said.
