Members of the Varketili organization of the opposition “European Georgia” party left the party. The party leaderships says that their decision will not make any influence on the second round of the presidential elections.
“Of course, this is the regrettable fact. The “Georgian Dream” and the State Security Service try to achieve the result through such methods. However, the residents of Varketili have already made their choice and their decision [to leave the party] cannot have any influence on the defeat of Salome Zurabishvili and Bidzina Ivanishvili in Varketili as well as in entire Georgia,” Davit Zhghenti, head of Samgori organization of the “European Georgia”, told InterPressNews.
