Thailand releases ‘Visa on Arrival’ for Georgian citizens

Thailand has released visas on arrival to the citizens of Georgia, - the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told InterPressNews. Archil Dzuliashvili, Ambassador of Georgia to the Thailand, continues meetings in Thailand.

Within the frameworks of the visit, the Georgian Ambassador held meetings at the Foreign Ministry of Thailand. The Thai side has confirmed that “Visa on Arrival" will be launched for the citizens of Georgia starting from February of 2019, enabling the citizens of Georgia to obtain visas at the Thai border and travel to Thailand for 15 days.

According to the Ministry, within the framework of the visit, on December 11, Archil Dzuliashvili held a meeting with Thai Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.

The bilateral relations between Georgia and the Kingdom of Thailand were discussed at the meeting. The discussions touched upon the visit of the Princess of Thailand to Georgia. Maha Chakri Sirindhorn expressed interest to learn more about Georgian culture, history, traditions and Georgian art. The sides expressed their readiness to cooperate actively in the future to further develop bilateral relations.
