First Vice Speaker of the Ukrainian Rada Irina Gerashchenko, who is a member of incumbent Petro Poroshenko's bloc, demands a criminal case to be filed against presidential candidate Volodymyr Zelenskiy.

Gerashchenko wrote on her Facebook page that the remarks made in the TV series “People’s Servant” assault Persons with Disabilities. Volodymyr Zelenskiy, who plays the role of President Golobrodenko in the series, calls them people with " oligophrenia " and “with Down’s syndrome”.

"We are building European Ukraine, a tolerant state where a hate speech is unacceptable. Such jokes are unacceptable in a civilized society, "says Gerashchenko.
