I.Gogebashvili’s “Deda Ena” will be returned to Georgian schools [ as a textbook for studying a native language for first graders] from September, Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze said on July 15.

According to the PM, Gogebashvili’s “Deda Ena” textbooks will be free of charge for all the first graders of the Georgian schools.

“Today we have a national idea - this is education, the Parliament of Georgia has already passed a law, according to which any government will be obliged to pay a quarter of the budget, 25%, to apply for education, our children and future generations.

From this wonderful place today, from Variani, I would like to inform the Georgian society that Iakob Gogebashvili’s “Deda Ena” will be returned to Georgian schools from September. This is a very important step and I would like to express my gratitude to all those who were able and assist us to return “Deda Ena” to Georgian schools,” PM Bakhtadze said.
