Carl Hartzell: Anaklia is a very strategic project for the EU and we are keen to see the developments moving forward

Anaklia is a very strategic project for the EU. It is clear that it is part of strategic infrastructure here in Georgia and we are keen to see the developments moving forward, - EU Ambassador to Georgia Carl Hartzell said.

The Ambassador hopes that this project will be implemented, because despite the distrust of the sides in one another, they all want the project to move forward.

"Anaklia is a very strategic project for the EU. It is clear that it is part of strategic infrastructure here in Georgia and we are keen to see the developments moving forward. Despite the fact that the sides lack trust between themselves, it is common determination to move ahead with the Anaklia project and this should be the starting point," the EU ambassador said.
