Giorgi Vashadze about MEPs : They understand very well that Georgian democracy is in danger

When Ivanishvili says :”I will stay in power in any way,”- this is totally unacceptable to our Western partners, New Georgia leader Giorgi Vashadze said after the meeting with the members of the European Parliament in Tbilisi on Sunday.

Vashadze noted that the positions of opposition leaders and MEPs are concurred. According to him, there is full consensus European Parliament delegation over the evaluation of the Georgian Dream.

“It is clear to MEPs what is going on in the country today. I can honestly say that we heard assessment from them about what is happening in the country. Our positions and their position are in full agreement. They understand very well that Georgian democracy is in danger. They understand very well that it’s time for them to be very active and make specific statement with regard to the government of Georgia. There is a complete consensus regarding the Georgian Dream in the delegation. When Ivanishvili says :”I will stay in power in any way,”- this is totally unacceptable to our Western partner and they have had very severe reaction to it", Vashadze said.
