MEP to Kakha Kuchava: The parliament blocked itself with its infamous "Tbilisi Wall"

“I want to ask you: When you talk about Georgia being so close to Europe and the European Union, do you think that the political prisoners in the country agree with you?” - MEP Maria Grigorova asked the Deputy Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, Kakha Kuchava, at the European Parliament's Foreign Committee session.

Another remark of the MEP concerned the blockage of the Georgian parliament.

“I hope you will objectively evaluate my question and opinion, because I have been there and have spoken to pro-government, non-governmental party and the protesters in person and I have no information about the blockage of the parliament by them. The parliament blocked itself with its infamous "Tbilisi Wall", but that's just a remark. I want to ask you a question: When you talk about Georgia being so close to Europe and the European Union, do you think that the political prisoners in the country agree with you?"- Maria Grigorova said.
