EU Ambassador: I would see the Congressmen’s statements as expressions of concerns about the tense situation in the country by the friends of Georgia

I would see the Congressmen’s statements as expressions of concerns about the tense situation in the country by the friends of Georgia, - EU Ambassador to Georgia Carl Hartzell told reporters.

When asked by a journalist about the letters, the Ambassador said he could not comment on letters from individuals.

“Well, the thing is that when it comes to commenting on letters from individuals, I never do that. I would see some of these expressions we have seen as expressions of concerns about the tense situation in the country and it is coming from friends of Georgia. But I will not comment on the exact wording in any of the letters that we have seen in the last 10 or more days”, the Ambassador said.
