PM: I will watch the Easter liturgy from home, on TV, and I urge our citizens to do the same

As a Christian, I will watch the Easter liturgy from home, on TV, and I urge our citizens to do the same, - Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia said when asked if he would attend the Easter liturgy.

Gakharia is convinced that they will find a solution.

"I understand that many want to bring conflict and controversy over extremely important dogmatic issues for the Church and extremely important issues of citizens’ life and health for the government. However, it will not be so. We, together with the Church, will always find a balanced solution that will serve the interests of lives and health of our citizens and will also take into account the interests of our ancient Church.

I, as a Christian, I will watch the Easter liturgy from home, on TV. This is my civic responsibility. Both as a Cristian citizen and the head of the government, I urge our citizens to do the same. We can keep our faith in a way that protects and cares for the health and lives of our family members, neighbors and parents. I am sure that we will find a solution in this case too,” said Giorgi Gakharia.
