Self-employed citizens to receive GEL 300 one-time assistance from the state

According to Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia, self-employed citizens will get GEL 300 one-time assistance from the state.

"It is extremely difficult for the state to identify the citizens, who were informally employed or considered themselves self-employed, as they were not registered in any official databases. However, the state undertakes responsibility to provide one-time assistance to these people in the amount of GEL 300, after they are identified with simplified procedure of identification with the help of social assistance services. The approximate budget of this measure will be GEL 75 000 000,” Gakharia said.
