The member of European Georgia, Sergi Kapanadze says that every political party can name its candidate for the PM position, however, the final decision will be made according to the coalition agreement.

According to him, it should be the task for every responsible opposition side to agree on mutual majoritarian candidates.

"Every political party can name its candidate for the PM position, I don't see any problem with it, but everyone should acknowledge that the final decision will be made according to the coalition agreement. Therefore, I don't think that it should be a concern for the given moment.

The most important issue for the opposition is to agreement and coordination for the majoritarian districts in the first round of the elections. Due to this, the discussion on who will support whom, in my opinion, isn't right. It is natural that in the second round the opposition sides should support each other. What's important is that the opposition should support each other during the first round too. It is important for every opposition party to take responsibility, forget the hindering factors, and coordinate in majoritarian districts. This is the most important matter", - stressed Kapanadze.

In response to the question what does exactly coordination means and whether it is possible to take place, Sergi Kapanadze responded that "their task should be to defeat Bidzina Ivanishvili in the first round".

"I'm saying it once again, it is utterly important for the opposition to agree on mutual candidates, or to coordinate positions in the majoritarian districts. This can be done in terms of collaboration, abstaining from naming a candidate, or agreeing on a mutual candidate, but we must understand that our goal should be to defeat Bidzina Ivanishvili in the first round. Therefore, talking about the second round while big developments are taking place in the opposition, is wrong. It should be the task for every responsible opposition side to agree and coordinate on majoritarians in the first round", - said Sergi Kapanadze.
