According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, an armed person, who broke into the Bank of Georgia branch located near the Avlabari metro station, took 7 people hostage.

The law enforcers arrested one person - born in 1993 and charged him with assault on one of the branches of the Bank of Georgia.

According to the Ministry, as a result of negotiations between the representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the attacker, the accused gradually released the hostages, after which the law enforcers arrested him. No one was injured as a result of the incident.
