Amiran Gamkrelidze takes Sinopharm vaccine publicly

Amiran Gamkrelidze, head of the National Center for Disease Control, was publicly vaccinated with the Sinopharm vaccine. Amiran Gamkrelidze was vaccinated at the Nikoloz Kipshidze Central University Clinic.

Vaccination with the Chinese vaccine Sinopharm starts in Georgia from today, May 4.

According to the National Center for Disease Control, 30 facilities and 33 vaccine brigades will take part in the immunization process today, and from May 5, another 44 medical facilities will be involved in the process.

At present, all three vaccines (AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Sinopharm) are administered nationwide in 91 facilities with 137 brigades.
