PM: Saakshvili damages his health himself and they blame us for that

"Prisoner Saakashvili is not privileged, he has to accept that he is no longer president when he stood above the law, when he oppressed, tortured people and enjoyed it," Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili said when speaking about the hospitalization of Georgia's third president, Mikheil Saakashvili.

According to Irakli Gharibashvili, all prisoners who go on hunger strike by their decision will be taken to the prison hospital if necessary.

According to him, all the conditions are created in the prison hospital and this is a decision that will not be reconsidered.

"We have heard the explanation of the Minister of Justice that all prisoners who go on hunger strike by their decision are taken to the prison hospital if necessary. Prisoner Saakashvili is not privileged, he has to accept that he is no longer the president, when he stood above the law, when he oppressed, tortured people and enjoyed it. This person is damaging his health himself and blame us.

Taking care of an inmate is the responsibility of the prison administration and the penitentiary institution. In addition, we involved an additional group of doctors’, said the PM.
