I was diagnosed with a spinal injury that requires surgery, I have severe tremors and dizziness, I have difficulty controling my limbs, I have difficulty moving and I am mostly in bed, reads the letter of the third president Mikheil Saakashvili.

According to Saakashvili's letter, he was diagnosed with some changes in his brain.

"Since there is a lot of speculation about my health, I decided to talk openly about how I feel. MRT confirmed my spinal injury, which I most likely received while being transported to Gldani using force. This inury, as I understand it, requires surgical intervention. I have severe pain in my spine and I am given a painkiller several times a day. I have strong tremors and dizziness. I find it increasingly difficult to control the limbs, especially the left hand. I have constant strong pain in my lower limbs. The neurosurgeon who examined me suggested that the muscle might soon be blocked and then it would be impossible to recover. I do not know exactly what that means, but what I do know is that I find it increasingly difficult to move and I am mostly in bed. MRT also revealed some changes in the brain, about which I have no exact information. Added to all this is the complete intolerance of food for tens of days. The thing is that just calling on me not to lie in bed and eat doesn't make anything better, those of you who know me all know very well that the vertical position was not my characteristic, nor did I ever have problem with appetite. We need a treatment completely devoid of politics, which is impossible to get in Georgia at this stage," Saakashvili's letter reads.
