Giorgi Margvelashvili: This narrative - "Do you want a war?!" is absurd in content, because no one wants a war except Putin in the whole world

"When you have sacrificed generations for the struggle for freedom, when your country was a flag bearer for the struggle for freedom, when there is an anticipation of a final great victory, it is impossible not to get what you deserve," former Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili told InterPressNews.

Asked whether the policies pursued by the Georgian Government during the war in Ukraine could be motivated by caution and attempts to avoid war, Margvelashvili said: "We have gone through wars and difficult times, but it pushes us to fight till the end."

"We went through the war - it is a fact, we went through the wars, we went through a very difficult period, but it pushes to fight till the end. When you have sacrificed generations for the struggle for freedom, when your country was a flag bearer for the struggle for freedom, when there is an anticipation of a final great victory, it is impossible not to get what you deserve, it is impossible not to ask for what belongs to you, it is impossible not to remind everyone of the mistakes that were made even in the 90s, when they did not help Shevardnadze, the then security architect, in anything, it is impossible not to remember the mistakes of 2008. Therefore, today we are not obliged to physically get involved in this war, but to have morally correct position, because in fact this narrative: "Do you want a war ?!" is absurd in content, because no one wants a war except Putin in the whole world," Giorgi Margvelashvili said.
