Unfortunately, we saw a completely unbelievable action, which does not fit into any ethical or legal norm - convict Saakashvili, of course, saw how this sample was taken, but at this stage I cannot tell you anything about taking the sample out of the clinic, - Minister of Justice Rati Bregvadze told journalists.
According to him, the representative of the Polish embassy could not give a comprehensive answer regarding the reasons for the doctor's behavior.
He also noted that any decision that may be related to the entry of other doctors to former President Mikheil Saakashvili will be discussed in much more detail by the Ministry from now on.
"Convict Saakashvili, of course, saw how this sample was taken, but at this stage I cannot tell you anything about taking it out of the clinic. I will not talk about many details, but I will definitely repeat what I have said, that this particular Polish doctor really confirmed that he tried to take the sample out of the clinic through his sock. I don't want to talk about the details, what kind of sample it was, because it was a medical procedure and I don't want to go into the details.
We kept our promise, but unfortunately, we saw a completely unbelievable action, which does not fit into any ethical or legal norm, and therefore, any decision that may be related to the entry of other doctors, of course, will be discussed in more detail from now on.
Regarding this particular doctor, you know that we applied to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to get information from the Polish Embassy. As you know, a representative of the embassy was in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia today. As is already known to the public, the Polish diplomat is not informed about the reasons for such behavior of the doctor, which makes the similar behavior of the Polish doctor even more incomprehensible and ambiguous”, said Rati Bregadze.
