Josep Borrell starts official meetings in Georgia

The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission, Josep Borrell, has started official meetings in Georgia. He held the first meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili.

After the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Joseph Borell went to the Parliament of Georgia, where he will hold a meeting with the Chairman of the legislative body, Shalva Papuashvili, and later, he will meet Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili in the Governmental Administration. After the meeting with the Prime Minister, a joint press conference will be held. A meeting is also scheduled with the President of Georgia. The highest representative of the European Union will hold a meeting with the opposition and the civil sector within the framework of the visit.
