Shalva Papuashvili: Irakli Beraia will not resign and no one is going to do it! Did you get an answer? Are you satisfied?

Mr. Iago, I am telling you that Irakli Beraia will not resign and no one is going to do it! Did you get an answer? Are you satisfied? Now sit like this! - this is how the Chairman of the Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili addressed the member of Girchi, Iago Khvichia.

Iago Khvichia protested the statements of Georgian Dream MP Irakli Beraia, which he made in the address of the opposition MP, Teona Akubardia.

Shalva Papuashvili noted that Beraia regretted his statement.

"The fact that there is a tense situation in our Parliament and sometimes the threshold is crossed, this challenge has its own answer, and the answer to this is in two things: first, let us all try to act with our responsibility and let us all try to be kind to everyone, not exclusively, towards some people, but towards everyone. If we are talking about Georgian Dream, which has a majority in the Parliament, above all, it is in its interest to have peacful and a working-like environment here. I assure you, no one likes and no one enjoys when there is chaos and even abuse. Therefore, I urge you one thing, to be consistent and to approach everything from one point of view. That's why I was talking about the case of Mrs. Tea Tsulukiani. I don't know if anyone enjoyed it and saw the highest peak of freedom of expression in the Russian language. It was offensive to the Parliament in every way, and if we had reacted today, you would have had a different moral pedestal. Let's appreciate one thing, the person expressed his regret and I have never heard regret from others," said Shalva Papuashvili.

For information, at the plenary session of the parliament, the deputy of the parliamentary majority, Irakli Beraia, addressed the independent deputy of the Parliament, Teona Akubardia, with insulting remarks. In addition, there was a verbal confrontation between Aluda Ghudushauri and Ana Tsitlidze. Tsitlidze called Ghudushauri a "moron", and the deputy of Georgian Dream called the opposition member "loser". Furthermore, after the incident, Irakli Beraia apologized for the insulting statement he made about Teona Akubardia.
