"We regret the re-introduction of the draft law on transparency of foreign influence," said Christiane Hoffmann, Deputy Spokesperson of the German Government.
"We see with some regret that, despite the clear reaction of the public and the international community, the law is still being discussed," said Christiane Hoffmann.
"The country stands on the path of EU reforms and knows that press freedom and democracy are fundamental components of the Union," said Christiane Hoffmann.
According to her, on April 12, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will host Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and the parties will discuss issues of bilateral relations, economic, European and security policy.
For information, the draft law "On transparency of foreign influence" was re-introduced in the Parliament of Georgia on April 3.
