Prime Minister, Parliament Speaker, Minister of Defense offer sympathy to killed pilot’s family

Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Speaker of the Parliament Shalva Papuashvili, Minister of Defense Irakli Chikovani, Deputy Ministers and high officials of the Georgian Defense Forces are in Gori, expressing condolences to the family and relatives of the pilot, Kakhaber Zurabashvili, who died in the crash of the Su-25 aircraft belonging to the Georgian Defense Forces.

There is a crowd near the residence of the deceased since morning, the heads and representatives of various structural units of the Defense Forces are offering their condolences to the family of the deceased pilot.

President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili was also present at the funeral.

The Su-25 aircraft belonging to the Defense Forces of Georgia crashed on July 2 during planned training. Kakhaber Zurabashvili, the pilot of the Aviation and Air Command of the Defense Forces, was killed as a result of the disaster. He will be buried in Gori on Saturday, July 6.
