The European Parliament adopted a resolution on Georgia, which calls for the imposition of personal sanctions against the former Prime Minister of Georgia, Bidzina Ivanishvili, the Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze, the Mayor of Tbilisi, Kakha Kaladze, the Speaker of the Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, and the Chairman of the "Georgian Dream" party, Irakli Gharibashvili.

"The European Parliament calls on the European Union and its member states to impose personal sanctions on those officials and political leaders in Georgia who are responsible for democratic backsliding, violations of electoral laws and standards, administrative violence and abuse of state institutions, such as Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, the Mayor of Tbilisi and General Secretary of the ruling party "Georgian Dream". Kakha Kaladze, Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia Shalva Papuashvili and Chairman of the "Georgian Dream" party Irakli Gharibashvili, and these sanctions should be extended to judges issuing politically motivated verdicts; The European Parliament continues to call on the democratic partners of the Council of Europe and the European Union to impose immediate and targeted personal sanctions on Bidzina Ivanishvili, to freeze all his assets for his role in the deterioration of the political process in Georgia within the European Union and for acting against the country's constitutionally declared interests, including attempts to restore Russia's sphere of influence in the country", is mentioned in the resolution.

The European Parliament adopted the resolution with 444 votes against 72.
