State Minister for Reconciliation : The regime is directly working against the interests of everyone, including of Ossetians

The regime is directly working against the interests of everyone, including the interests of Ossetians, - Ketevan Tsikhelashvili, State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality, said while commenting on the decision of the occupation regime to step up control on the citizens entering the rest part of the country from Tskhinvali region.

"Unfortunately, this is not a novelty, there is a constant attempt to make movement more difficult amid the increased contacts,” Ketevan Tsikhelashvili said.

According to the State Minister, this restriction creates additional problems for the population of Tskhinvali region, for whom the movement is of vital importance.

“This particular statement concerns the people, especially ethnic Ossetians, who do not live adjacent to the occupation line, but in the depths of the Tskhinvali region and they need the free movement most of all. They try to find different ways to do that. They often arrive in the rest territory of Georgia through Russia. The additional measure during the New Year period is an announcement that the regime works directly against the interests of everyone, including of Ossetians. It is the basis for us to conclude that we should confront it with more contacts and more development, "said Ketevan Tsikhelashvili.
