FM : We have to be extremely careful and cautious about the David Gareji issue

We have to be extremely careful and cautious about the David Gareji issue. Any statement must be made and any action must be taken in the context of strategic partnership, with delicacy and sensitivity, Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani said in the Parliament on Thursday.

According to him, the second meeting within the Delimitation Commission will be held in Georgia.

“This is one of the priority issues. We are actively working within the Delimitation Commission. The nearest meeting will be held in Georgia, this will be the second meeting of the commission. We had the expert level meeting on the ground and naturally, we will act in our own and our strategic partners’ interests. All of these issues will be discussed within the delimitation commission, but one of our important tasks is to return to the status quo that existed prior to the closure of the Gareji section and I think we have already the first positive outcome of the meeting between the Georgian and Azeri Prime Ministers, ” said FM Zalkanian.
