PM: It was shameful that pension increases have always been the subject of speculation ahead of elections

It was shameful that pension increases have always been the subject of speculation ahead of elections. We put this issue in the law, which guarantees that the income of every pensioner will increase together with economic growth, - Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia said in the village of Chkvishi, at the presentation of Givi Chichinadze, a majoritarian candidate of Samtredia, Tskaltubo, Vani and Khoni.

According to the Prime Minister, the main target of the Georgian Dream is people and the goal of the ruling team is to create equal conditions for all people.

“The most important target of the Georgian Dream has always been the person and his/her dignity, justice. We have always said that it is impossible for the state not to care for children and their best interests, just as it is impossible for the state not to think about its respectable old people. It was shameful that pension increases have always been the subject of speculation ahead of elections. We put this issue in the law, which guarantees that the income of every pensioner will increase together with economic growth. It is impossible for the state to leave systemic areas such as teachers, doctors and police officers beyond attention. These are people who serve our citizens on behalf of the state and of course we will pay great attention to this. No matter what others say, we will continue to focus on these people. The main goal will be to create equal conditions for everyone, no matter where a young person lives - in Vani, Tbilisi, Samtredia or Kutaisi. Everyone should be able to receive the same education, same opportunities, same medicine and social assistance. This is our main goal. I am confident that we will win together to achieve this goal. This victory will be achieved in a fair fight, which is the most important thing, and it will not be a victory of one party, it will be a victory of the country," Gakharia said.
