Kelly Degnan: We have seen similar harmful actions of Russia in the elections of different countries, so there is a probability that it will do the same in Georgia
According to the US Ambassador to Georgia, Kelly Degnan, Russia may try to continue its disinformation campaign in Georgia.
As she told reporters, the Georgian government is taking the above issue seriously.
"Of course, everyone is closely monitoring the ongoing processes, because there are high expectations. As for disinformation, we have seen similar harmful actions of Russia in the elections of different countries, in Europe and in the US as well. Consequently, there is a probability that I will do the same in Georgia. I think the Georgian government is taking this issue seriously and so is the public. It is very important to respond to misinformation properly and to be careful," Degnan said.
